I’m HAL8Y (Haley Meister), a Chicago-based graphic designer specializing in branding, typography, and publication design. I create work that is playful, meaningful, and visually captivating.

Currently, I freelance across hospitality, retail, and community-driven brands. Through JustCoast Creative, I support restaurants and bars including Dorian’s, Easy Does It, Little Victories, Spilt Milk, Quality Time, Mirra, Sparrow, and more. I also work with Enid, an e-commerce storefront celebrating local artists, designers, and collectible goods.

Previously, I was the sole designer at Atomic Hospitality, working across concepts including Artifact Events, Tetto, Recess, Untitled Supper Club, VU Rooftop, The Last Refuge, and Bar Tabu. I’ve also worked independently with Michelin-starred Esmé, AddyKnits, and other creative collaborators.

I take on independent projects with hospitality brands, creative collaborators, and community-driven organizations, creating bold, thoughtful design that communicates, connects, and leaves a lasting impression.
