About
For this project, I was asked to design a meaningful typographic logo for a private press, following a theme of personal interest. I chose ‘Lemon’ to represent sustainability– Playing on the saying
Lemon valued spreading optimism when touching on the topics of sustainability, since oftentimes it is showcased in a fearful, entitled, or strict manner. By making sustainability more approachable, Lemon would target a broader audience to share green ways of thinking.
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.”

Process
Considering Lemon touched on all aspects of life, the logotype needed to be universal for all formats. I ended up sketching ideas, coming up with around
38 ideas.
When it was time to digitise it, I was challenged finding set typography that fit the ideas for my logo. I solved this problem by illustrating all the following logos, until I came up with the final product.︎
